BUDAPEST, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- World Aquatics announced the host cities for the 2026 and 2027 editions of the World Aquatics Diving World Cup, which will kick off in Canada, Mexico and China.

The 2026 and 2027 World Aquatics Diving World Cup will feature three-stop events each year, including the Super Final, where athletes will compete at the highest level en route to the World Aquatics Championships scheduled for summer 2027 in Budapest, Hungary.

The three host cities and countries have a long history of staging major aquatics events and producing top divers.

Chen Yiwen, Olympic and world champion in the women's 3m springboard, expressed anticipation to compete on home soil in front of the home crowds at China's National Aquatic Center.

"It is always exciting to compete at home. I am proud that Beijing will host the 2026 and 2027 Super Finals. We will do our utmost to deliver a memorable performance for the fans," Chen said.

World Aquatics also confirmed that the 2026 World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships will be held in Rijeka, Croatia. Enditem.
