BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Brunei-China Art and Visual Culture Festival 2025 is being held on Saturday and Sunday near the capital Bandar Seri Begawan to celebrate friendship and cultural exchange between the two countries.
The event features a Brunei-China calligraphy and painting exhibition and an art exhibition.
Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo said the festival is yet another vivid reflection of the thriving people-to-people exchanges between China and Brunei.
Artists from both countries showcase the collision and integration of diverse cultures through evocative paintings, soul-stirring music, and immersive audience experiences, creating a living tapestry of civilization dialogue and building bridges of mutual understanding between our peoples, he said.
Huifong Ng, founder of the festival, said the Nanjing Little Red Flower Art Troupe presented the traditional Brunei song "Cabuk Cabuk Bertali Rambai" as a celebration of friendship between the two sister cities, Nanjing and Bandar Seri Begawan. ■
